The F-0.5 is the most commonly used probe, designed for measuring the thickness of electroplated coatings (such as zinc, chrome, and others), as well as paint (and other dielectric) coatings on magnetic substrates. This probe is ideal for measuring the thickness of zinc, chrome, and other electroplated coatings.
It can also be used for measuring the thickness of paint, polymer coatings, and any other dielectric coatings. It’s the best choice if you need to measure relatively thin coatings (up to 500 µm) on steel substrates.
