EMAT technologie provides many advantages over the conventional ultrasonic thickness gauges such as:

  • No couplant required
  • No surface preparation required
  • Works on uneven, convex
  • Measurement through a layer of coating (paint, plastics, oxides, etc) up to 6 mm / 0.24 in.
  • Measurement through air gap up to 6 mm / 0.24 in
  • Measurement through rusty and dusty layers

For surfaces heated to high temperatures, there is a special high-temperature version of the probe, which allows testing of products heated up to 600°C.
