NOVOTEST guarantees that the product complies with technical specifications provided that the user adheres to transportation, storage, and operating conditions.

NOVOTEST offers various warranty plans

Standard (Basic) Warranty

 

Your new NOVOTEST device, purchased directly from the manufacturer or an authorized dealer, is covered by a basic warranty of 1 year. If any part of the device fails due to material or manufacturing defects, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge by the manufacturer or any authorized NOVOTEST dealer.

 

The warranty for batteries, rechargeable cells, and chargers is provided directly by the manufacturers of these components and, therefore, is not covered by NOVOTEST’s warranty obligations. However, the authorized NOVOTEST dealer servicing your device will assist you in submitting warranty claims related to batteries, rechargeable cells, and chargers.

 

The warranty for the device begins on the date of purchase, usually on the day the device is shipped to the customer. If the device is purchased by an intermediary company, the warranty period starts from the moment the device is transferred to the intermediary.

Extended Warranty

 

A special option that extends the basic warranty period from 2 to 5 years. To get this option an extended warranty must be purchased at the time of acquiring the equipment.

  • Years 2-3: free servicing, repairs and calibrations, with shipping covered by the customer.
  • Years 5: extended free repairs, including coverage for specific issues not covered by the standard warranty, such as damage due to voltage surges.

 

An extended warranty offers up to 5 years of coverage, including free repairs, protection against most issues excluded from the standard warranty (such as accidental damage from voltage fluctuations), savings on future servicing, diagnostics and consultations. To get an extended warranty options an additional fee ranging from 30% to 100% of the device’s value is applicable, depending on the selected warranty duration.

Warranty for Repaired or Replaced Parts

 

All NOVOTEST genuine spare parts installed during warranty repairs are covered by the NOVOTEST warranty (valid until the end of the original warranty period). Parts replaced during warranty service are not returned to the device owner.

Wearable Components

 

Parts subject to wear during the operation of the device are divided into two main categories. The first includes parts requiring replacement or adjustment at intervals specified in the device maintenance schedule. The second category consists of parts whose replacement or adjustment frequency depends on operating conditions.

Parts Replaced According to Maintenance Schedule

 

The following parts have a limited service life and require replacement or adjustment at intervals specified in the device’s maintenance schedule. These parts are covered under the basic warranty only until their first replacement or adjustment is required. The warranty period for each part cannot exceed the limits (based on device usage time or operational hours) stated in the basic warranty conditions:

  • – Built-in rechargeable batteries;
  • – Seals, if their removal is required for associated adjustments;
  • – Oil and operating fluids.

Components Subject to Wear During Operation

 

The parts listed below either have a limited service life or may require replacement (or adjustment) due to damage. However, these parts are covered by the NOVOTEST basic warranty for a period of 12 months:

  • – Transducers and their components;
  • – Connecting cables;
  • – Parts and mechanisms subjected to mechanical stress during operation.

 

Note: Wearable parts that deteriorate due to friction (such as blades, cutters, moving components of measuring transducers, ultrasonic piezoelectric transducers, support tips, etc.) are not covered under the basic NOVOTEST warranty if the failure is caused by normal wear and tear during device operation. However, if such parts fail due to material or manufacturing defects within the warranty period, they will be repaired or replaced under the basic warranty.

Owner Responsibilities

 

The “User Manual” provide information on the proper operation and maintenance of your device.

Correct usage and maintenance help you avoid costly repairs caused by improper handling, negligence, or incorrect maintenance procedures. Following our recommendations also extends the service life of your device. Therefore, the owner should:

  • – If a defect or malfunction is detected, promptly provide the device to the manufacturer or an authorized NOVOTEST dealer for warranty repair. This minimizes the necessary repairs.
  • – Perform maintenance as outlined in the User Manual.
  • – Use only genuine NOVOTEST spare parts (marked accordingly) during servicing.
  • – Regularly clean the device body and transducers as recommended by NOVOTEST.
  • – Follow NOVOTEST’s operating and storage conditions for the device.

Warranty Limitations

 

NOVOTEST is not liable if repair or replacement is necessitated by any of the following (absent a manufacturing defect):

  • – Damage caused by careless/improper use, natural disasters, water ingress into the device, transducer, accessories, or parts, accidents, or misuse;
  • – Wear and tear of components during operation;
  • – Failure to perform maintenance within the prescribed timelines recommended by NOVOTEST;
  • – Non-compliance with NOVOTEST’s recommended operating conditions;
  • – Unauthorized modifications to the device or its components, or unauthorized tampering with its systems;
  • – Use of low-quality batteries or other components;
  • – Voltage fluctuations in the power supply;
  • – Failure to address any damage identified during scheduled maintenance;
  • – External factors beyond NOVOTEST’s control, such as air pollution, hurricanes, chips from impacts, scratches, or improper cleaning agents;
  • – Use of unapproved repair methods;
  • – Use of non-genuine NOVOTEST spare parts or operating fluids.

Warranty repairs must only be performed by an authorized NOVOTEST service center.

Other Non-Warranty Cases

 

The NOVOTEST basic and extended warranties exclude liability for any incidental or indirect damage resulting from a defect covered under these warranties. Such damage includes (but is not limited to):

  • Compensation for inconvenience, phone calls, shipping or accommodation costs, loss of profit, or damage to property.
  • All warranty obligations become void if the device is officially deemed irreparable.

Warranties and Consumer Law

 

The basic and extended warranties do not limit your legal rights under consumer protection laws regarding the sale and servicing of consumer goods.
