Improvement of standard flaw detector/thickness gauge
Active EMAT Transducer EMAT-A1 new technical improvement for classic flaw detector/thickness gauge with A-scan by electromagnetic acoustic unit and connected to a flaw detector/thickness gauge with A-scan instead of a conventional piezoelectric transducer.
EMA transducer compatible with various ultrasonic flaw detector/thickness gauge with A-scan that enable excitation with a bipolar pulse (any modern flaw detectors have this function).
The transducer can be used with any ultrasonic thickness gauge with A-scan that enable bipolar excitation of the required amplitude.
The EMAT-A1 transducer enable to bring into force EMAT capabilities thru standard flaw detector function for a reasonable price.
EMAT-A1 transducer will allow users:
– measure the thickness of metal products through rust;
– measure the thickness of metal products through coatings;
– measure the thickness of metal products through an air gap (contactless);

Compact and autonomous
Active EMAT Transducer EMAT-A1 is powered by a replaceable battery type AA. Therefore, transducer compatible with classic AA batteries / accumulators and lithium-ion accumulators standardized size, 14500 (batteries / accumulators).
The transducer does not require turning on to start working and turning it off after the end of work. It turns on and off automatically in the presence of excitation pulses from the flaw detector.
